God wants us to take care of our world. There are many things we can do—big and small—to be greener.
The Green Team shares information about reuse, conservation, recycling, and green alternatives.
Since we began our Styrofoam recycling in 2019, we’ve seen an explosion in engagement, and our collection areas are overflowing with Styrofoam to be recycled!
This year we will surpass 1,000, 33-gallon bags filled with either food/drink or packaging Styrofoam dropped off at the church so we can deliver it to a recycling facility in Ada.
Our newest acquisition is a 12’ x 8’ utility trailer and a Brohn Tech Styro-Hybrid Mobile Densifying Unit. The densifier lets us collect more foam while taking up less storage space!
We are working with the City of Norman to secure a storage location for the trailer and densifier.
