Education and Youth Ministries

Mission Statement For Our Youth

Sharing a common faith in, and relationship to, Jesus Christ, we come together to explore and grow in our faith. We at University Lutheran Church & Student Center will offer opportunities for study, group building, relationship building, service, and friendship development in a caring and supportive atmosphere affirming our unity and diversity.

Youth Ministries are available for ALL ages.

Sunday School classes for youth and adults are every Sunday from 9:55a.m.-10:45a.m. at the ULC Triplex (on College Ave. adjacent to our parking lot). Confirmation Classes (Gr. 7 & 8) meet at the ULC Triplex most Wednesday evenings from 6:30p.m.-8:00p.m. Contact Chris Lee at 321-1584.

Ministry opportunities include:

  • Family Events: There are special activities throughout the year like ice cream sundaes, pizza & movie night, watching a basketball game, watching a play, skating, fall hayrides, Easter egg hunts, etc.
  • Worship
  • Bible Classes
  • Community Service
  • Confirmation Class (7th and 8th grade)
  • First Communion Class
  • Acolyte, Usher and Reader Training
  • Fellowship
  • Conferences, Synod, Regional & National events
  • Group Building
  • Children's Sermon

  • Aug. - Garage Sale: August 20th from 8:00-2:00 pm
  • Aug. - Redhawks game: Sunday Aug. 25th at 4:00 pm (Autographs and run the bases)
  • Sep. - IMAX/Omni Theater or pool party
  • Sep. - Sunday School starts on Sept 11th
  • Oct. - Haunt the Zoo date/time TBA
  • Nov. - Service Project—make/decorate cookies with theme “I am thankful for you.”
  • Dec. - Children’s Christmas Program on Dec.4th between services
  • Dec. - Christmas Presence on Dec. 9th 6-8:30 pm

 


The mission of University Lutheran Church and Student Center is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of God's abundant grace, to strengthen those who know their Lord and Savior and to reach out to those who do not, equipping all, through Word and Sacrament, to serve God.
