The University Lutheran Church & Student Center Choir practices each Wednesday night at 7:30p.m. at the church. We sing at the late morning service each week except for occasional special services. We also take a break for a few weeks each summer. Anyone is welcome to come and join in our musical praise!
Our music director has celebrated over 50 years of service!

The Intern Organist program was set up as a result of the installation of the new pipe organ at University Lutheran in 2007 as well as the arrival of Dr. John Schwandt, organ professor at the University of Oklahoma. We now had a wonderful instrument to share and the University was beginning a program to develop the next generation of church organists. Schwandt started the American Organ Institute which gives students instruction in all facets of playing — church, concert and theatre organ — as well as organ building and repair work. Dr. Schwandt was looking for area churches to provide opportunities for students to learn the weekly stress of having to play each Sunday. Thus the intern program was born. One of the first two churches to join the program, "Uloo", as we are affectionately called by the students, has had seven students assigned to us so far. Interns are required to sing in the adult choir, meet with the church organist on a weekly basis, help with the planning of music in the traditional service and to play portions of the service each Sunday as assigned by the organist. Their length of term follows the University semester schedule.
