Mission Statement For Our Youth

Sharing a common faith in, and relationship to, Jesus Christ, we come together to explore and grow in our faith. We at University Lutheran Church & Student Center will offer opportunities for study, group building, relationship building, service, and friendship development in a caring and supportive atmosphere affirming our unity and diversity.

Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO

LYO is for anyone in grades 6 - 12. Our high school youth meet each Sunday morning and we join to gether for other activities and events throughout the year. Watch for upcoming events!

The Arkansas-Oklahoma Younger Youth Gathering is January 14-15 in Little Rock. This is for anyone in grades 6-8. Let Donna know by January 8 if you want to go. Once she has the registration forms, she will pass them along to you.

Confirmation

Confirmation is offered for students in 6th - 8th grades. Our classes are held during the Sunday School hour. In their 9th grade year, students work with a mentor to complete various discipleship projects as part of their preparation. Also during that year, these students meet with the Director of Faith Formation and the Pastor during the Sunday School hour as we go deeper into what it means to be a Lutheran Christian. ULCSC usually confirms in the spring of the 9th grade year. Contact Pastor Summerville or Donna Summerville if you have questions.

We will confirm three of our youth Sunday, April 30.
